Introducing the new improved X15B, with a newer and brighter screen over it's predecessor the X15A. We've also quadrupled the internal memory to 4GB. The X15B is an easy to use, extra-large plug and play frame. The X15B is capable of playing photos (JPEG), video (MPEG-4 / .AVI) and music (MP3). A remote control with easy short cut buttons allows you to switch from playing photos to video to music with just a single touch of the remote. This frame is designed to be easy to use whilst packed with features. The Split screen display option will display four different photos simultaneously on the large screen. The X15B also sports the new 'Combo' feature that allows you to place specifically chosen images and music together in a single folder, thus allowing you to essentially create a specific soundtrack for a specific slide show. Ideal for showing off that holiday you just got back from! A fold out stand and wall mount holes (VESA standard 75mm x 75mm) are standard. The functionality can be quite flexible too; you can easily set the frame to start at a preset time everyday with your choice of photo, video or even music. Her eyes aren't great so I went for a big frame.I have to say I was surprised to see just what a difference a large 15 inch screen makes. This frame screen is large, yet still bright and crisp. Importantly it has a huge 4gb internal memory, so I could load it up with hundreds and hundreds of pic's to keep her happy between visits. And disappointed as well. The picture is quite grainy and I have the correct settings chosen and am using 5mp images that are the same size format as the screen. The remote control takes some effort to use. Have to push buttons multiple times to get the unit to respond. Pictures are ok but appear washed out, and there doesn't seem to be any contrast or brightness controls anywhere. I figured I'd go with the more expensive unit to get a better quality. Ehhhh. I'm unimpressed. I think it's going back. Can buy a whole small tv with a DVD player for what this costs, and just out the pictures on a DVD... Idk. Just unimpressed... Not the quality I expected.Update 7/30. Ok after figuring out the kind of cumbersome interface I do have to say the frame now working well. Seems easiest to just load the pictures on an sd card and just leave the card in the frame. And with the "optimum" setting chosen the pictures look really... Easy to operate. I have about 1900 photos at full resolution loaded onto a 32GB SD card so far. The 1900 photos use about 5GB of memory so it looks like I will be able to get around 14,000 photos on this card. Random playback and continuos looping is good as long as you don't put your photos in a folder in your storage media. Viewing angle is great. This frame is a home run.Very stylish looking too. You won't be disappointed. |
