This review is from: SVP 2012 Newest PS9890 3-in-1 Digital Photo / Negative Films / Slides Scanner with built-in 2.4 LCD (Electronics) This is my second scanner for mounted slides. I returned the first (another product) because it wasn't handling high-contrast pictures well (washed out, with no shadow detail) and had blotches on the lens or CCD camera that could not be removed through cleaning. It also had a lot of bad pixels on the LCD. This scanner is more expensive and has better features. Here are the pros. First, according to the manual, its native resolution is 14MP, with an ability to interpolate to 22MP. This review is from: SVP 2012 Newest PS9890 3-in-1 Digital Photo / Negative Films / Slides Scanner with built-in 2.4 LCD (Electronics) I did a lot of research here before finally choosing this unit, which we got this for my mother-in-law for Christmas. We added a 2GB SD card (about $10 from Walmart), the instructions were easy to follow and we were scanning within minutes. My husband and I work as a team and we scan 200-230 slides per hour. It's fast, you can see images on the screen, and the quality is good! I was able to edit/lighten darker slides in iPhoto. We've scanned in over 1,000 slides and 300 photos so far. It's priceless to have old memories in digital form. We are delighted with it - great buy for the price! 17 of 18 people found the following review helpful Great scanner!, Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
