This is an interesting little device; about the size of the typical charger wall wart, that can act as a wireless router, as a bridge that can expand a wi-fi network as a hardwired expansion, a repeater that expands a wi-fi network wirelessly, and as a wireless modem on a device without built in wireless but with an ethernet port. That's a heck of a lot packed into a tiny package, and for a really reasonable price. Setup is the challenge. Fortunately, there are fairly detailed and explicit instructions included, contrary to some of the other reviews. If you can set up a wireless router, you can set this up. If you have troubles with basic network setups, you should get someone to help. My first desire is what I suspect will be the most common usage; setting up the device as a repeater. But the reason for the 3 stars is the fact that the iPhone 4S wouldn't establish the signals with the repeater. At times the iPhone would give notifications on the Safari web browser that there was no service for internet to work. Many people have complained about the Apple products not being compatible and/or not being as easy to setup network connections with the wi-fi repeater as non-Apple products.The only thing I suggest as for improvements would be the need to tweak the Wi-Fi repeater so that it can hold the Wi-Fi signals with Apple products. Thank You UPDATE: I had given the Wi-Fi repeater 3 stars. But I am now adding another star. Reason for adding another star is that I had taken the Wi-Fi repeater to the ground floor where signals are very weak and low. I bought it to make a hard-wired connection to my PS3 even though I have a wireless network at home. The device has a "client mode" that is perfect for this. I works great, I have not had a game lag or glitch since I installed this product. All of the reviews saying the technical support info is not available are not telling the truth. The tech phone number is at the bottom of all the documentation, and I misread one of the documents and the person on the phone was super helpful. They even stayed on the line with me for an extra few minutes to make sure my issue was resolved. Just for fun I tried using the device as only a repeater...it boosted my wi-fi signal in the areas of my house that are far away from the router from 75% to 100%. It is small and compact and the instructions make sense. Anyone who has a large house or that wants to stabilize a connection using a hardwire would greatly benefit from this product.
