Plain and Simple,
December 6, 2012 This review is from: LG BP125 Blu-Ray Disk / DVD 1080p Player with HDMI & USB (Electronics)
The LG Blu-ray Disc/ DVD model BP125 is a plain and simple Blu-ray player. No gadgets no wifi just Blu-ray which is exactly what I wanted with this device. It is easy to setup and use but it does not come with an HDMI cord so keep that in mind. But overall this player is as simple and reliable as it'll get. Batman Dark Night Rises looks amazing on this by the way. Perfect simplicity.

Bare bones Blu-Ray,
December 5, 2012 This review is from: LG BP125 Blu-Ray Disk / DVD 1080p Player with HDMI & USB (Electronics)
This entry level Blu-Ray player from LG is a no frills player without network or Internet access.
I own this unit and it works great for DVDs, Blu-Ray disc and CDs. The SimpLink function of the player and this included remote control will allow you to operate some functions of your LG TV (look for the Simplink logo on your TV's remote control.) This is handy for controlling playback, pause, fast forward, etc.
The front USB input is great for playing files of music, audio (MP3, WAV worked great!), and looking at pictures or video files. As long as your drive is formatted as FAT32 you are good to go.
If your TV is already "smart" and has Internet connection with apps like Netflix, Pandora, etc., then this is a unit you won't regret because you saved some bucks by not having, or needing, it networked.

A basic, no-frills blu-ray player,
December 15, 2012 This review is from: LG BP125 Blu-Ray Disk / DVD 1080p Player with HDMI & USB (Electronics)
My wife and I bought this for our bedroom tv and we couldnt be happier. Some things to mention are 1)There is no AV cable input, only HDMI. 2) No wifi. 3)No ethernet input, so no apps or automatic updates.
But if you can overlook all that, and just want something to play blu-rays, your in luck cause this is inexpensive and does a great job. Id buy this again in an instant. Just make sure you dont overpay. This is a budget model and you shouldnt pay more then $50.
