Hardly, I was very impressed in fact. I have the white iPhone 5, and this case really shows off all the styling on the back of the phone well, especially the apple logo in the metal. It may say frost for color but it is pretty clear, not "frosted" if you know what I mean. It has a rubbery feel but is pretty rigid, it has good shock absorption from the rigid yet flexible material. Every corner and back are well protected from drops and such, the case is loose enough to take off easily but tight enough to stay in place. The volume up and down and power buttons are covered with the same case material and work great, and everything plugs in great as well, the tiny new power adapter and headphones included. I put a screen protector on with the case no problem, very little of the sides of the case go around the front and you should be fine... So I just got my iPhone 5 in the mail and threw the case on and was beyond stunned at how good this case is. I take care of my stuff so I am not in need of an Otter Box or anything along those lines, but this case is perfect for me. It is nice because it is see through (I got grey/black) and it is slim and covers everything including the curve edge right outside the screen. I also bought 2 other iPhone 5's today and am placing an order right now for 2 more of these cases! The problem is that the iphone 5 is so thin that I started to feel like it needed a little bit of extra protection. Reviews were good, but I was still worried that it would be either junky, or too bulky. Took the plunge and im glad I did. First off, its clear. Transparent. Like a window. I dont see anything "frosty" about it. The material is a firm plastic. Not jelly like, but not hard. Perfect. It will cushion impacts well, and it certainly wont crack. The top side extends just above the screen, so you can lay the phone face down with no issue.
