29 of 29 people found the following review helpful cheep screen protector, By scanpennett (Chicago, IL United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Fisher Price Kid-Tough Apptivity Case for Kindle Fire, Blue (will not fit HD models) (Accessory) I purchased this 11/26 and it arrived 11/27 - that is the only thing that gets 5 stars. As for the previous reviewer with the Ipod FP case - they are not the same - I have purchased those for many new parents. I called Fisher-Price (FP) before I placed the order to ask a couple questions: 1. Can you charge it without taking it out of the case Answer: Yes - there is a hole at the bottom (but, not covered I found out). 2. what exactly is the screen protection? Answer: thin plastic - not hard - like the otterbox (yeah right - think plastic packaging batteries come in). I was so excited I was getting a FP case built like an otterbox but priced under $30 - not! I should also add it is pretty darn easy for a kid to get the case off - it is a latch on the side (unlike the coin needed to open the ipod cases). I'm not sure if we are going to keep it. It is a gift for my son's kindle fire he will be receiving for christmas so I'll have to look around over the next few weeks. I just... This review is from: Fisher Price Kid-Tough Apptivity Case for Kindle Fire, Blue (will not fit HD models) (Accessory) I hate the idea that I have to pay $60 to protect a $130 purchase, so when I saw this for $30 ($21 after the 30% kindle discount code) I had to try it. It is what you expect from Fischer Price. It is very easy to use, it has a clasp that then allows you to open it like a book to insert or remove the Kindle Fire. The touch screen works perfectly though the screen protector. It seems durable and looks nice. I have a fair amount of faith it will protect it well from everything but a direct sharp hit to the screen. You can access the charging port with the cover on.It comes with a couple free apps you can download, but I have not done that yet. I would recommend this to anyone. It is not sleek and slim, it is bulky making the edge look like a air raft, but it is Fischer Price so it would be what you expect as it is made to protect from children. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Fisher-Price Tough Kid Apptivity Case for Kindle Fire 7" NOT HD, This review is from: Fisher Price Kid-Tough Apptivity Case for Kindle Fire, Pink (will not fit HD models) (Accessory) The case is sufficiently tough and adds a great deal of grip around the edges for small hands, but Amazon and Fisher Price should be ashamed of themselves for advertising a Kindle accessory and free Kindle apps, then NOT having those apps available in the Amazon App store! Fix this, please: make the "Little People" game accessible. For this reason alone, we will likely return this item.My only other complaint is that there is a completely open gap at the bottom to push the on/off button and insert the charger, but there is no gap at the top to hear the speaker, which muffles the song, game, or video your child may be playing. Looks like a decent first attempt at a product that was rushed to market. |
