5.0 out of 5 stars you don't hit your head on the door jamb with this one, December 29, 2009

Great chin up bar. After shopping around, I decided on this one because it sticks up and out from the door frame. Many of the door chin up bars are too close to the top of the door frame, so you end up bumping your head on the frame or the wall when you do a full chin up, but not with this one. Solid construction, and just big enough for dips if you are short and feel inclined. Easy to set up, took me about 10 minutes with a wrench and screwdriver. The protective foam for the door frame is thick, and didn't need any adjusting for my door (although it looks pretty easy to move if you need to). The narrow chin up station in the middle is great (many other "chin up" bars don't have this either, although for me it makes for a better chin up), and the outer grips are great for pull ups.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic product (read this for assembly help), June 15, 2011

This review is from: GoFit Elevated Chin Up Station (Sports)
I read all these reviews and I was a little afraid of making this purchase but there just is no other products like this one without buying a tower. I'm a tall guy need the elevated bar.

First off let me say I saw the problems that people described while putting this thing together and I had no trouble getting around them. In fact I took notes so I could post here tips for putting it together.

TIPS:
1) Skip step 4 of the instructions this is where you make the two bolts not line up. You can and should do step 4 last.
2) Do not tighten anything until everything is together. The reason being is if you try to tighten it during assembly you will end up with uneven bars ( like I did but I fixed it)
3) when it is all together put the bar up side down on a hard flat surface, This will get the bars square
4) now tighten the bolts from the top down (with it upside down you are starting with the straight bar that is normally the bottom... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars adjustable to fit deeper and wider door frames, January 18, 2010
This review is from: GoFit Elevated Chin Up Station (Sports)
Works great. Solid. Most importantly it has a couple of adjustable options to enable it to fit virtually all doors. Other brands didn't fit in our door due to it being slightly too deep (I would've thought it was a standard sized frame) and it sounds like this is a common problem. No regrets.

4.0 out of 5 stars Favorite pair I have, June 2, 2008
By
I own 6 different models of ear protection (1 AO Safety and 5 Peltor). This pair is the pair I wear most frequently because:
1) They are not to big and bulky like the higher NRR rated models I have. The bigger ones are quieter, but they are noticably bigger and heavier. I prefer this smaller size for most things and only wear the bigger ones for really noisy infrequent tasks.
2) They provide good sound deadening. They work fine for typical jobs like skillsaws, tractor work, etc.
3) They are comfortable. The cushion is comfortable against my head.
4) They operate nicely. Unlike the even smaller red AO Safety 19 or 20 db model I have, these pair are easy to get on my head without getting all twisted up. I hate the AO Safety pair because I always end up fighting to get the two ear cups apart and facing the right direction. These Peltor H9As can usually be put on my head with one hand without too much fuss.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Practical Earmuffs, January 20, 2008
By
Nino Brown (Cambridge, MA) - See all my reviews
I bought these earmuffs instead of the H10A's because of the reviews - they classified this pair as more comfortable and still good at noise canceling.

I got them so that I could better focus on work at home - there can be many distracting noises that obstruct serious thought. While they do not cancel everything out - they drastically reduce noise. If someone directly in front of me starts talking to me, I will hear what they are saying, albeit at a reduced noise level. However, when I went into a connected room, and asked my mom and my sister to have a conversation in the room I was initially in, I couldn't hear what they were saying.

The really bring me a sense of inner peace and centeredness - I can focus on my work without worrying about becoming distracted with random noises in the house. It allows you to get into your own world. I would advise people, however, to notify their house mates when they are going to use them to tune out - it would be horrible if... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and inexpensive, September 6, 2007
By
Albert Danner (Boston, MA, USA) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
The Peltor earmuffs are among the most comfortable. The H9A is not as bulky as some others and is adequate for most noise. I keep 4 or 5 in the shop, one hanging on each noisy power tool. The best ear protection is the one you actually use, and these are simple to slip on and off as the job requires.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure value, November 25, 2012
This review is from: HP 2000-2b09WM 15.6-Inch Laptop PC (Winter Blue) Windows 8 - 320 GB Hard Drive - 2GB DDR3 RAM - SuperMulti DVD Burner - Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wireless - HD Webcam - Card Reader - Power Efficient AMD E-300 Dual Core Processor, up to 6hr 45 min battery life (Personal Computers)
This HP laptop in Winter Blue, presents as a very expensive model. It is an impressive, attractive, affordable laptop for entertainment. Having spent $1200 on my previous laptop, which crashed the weekend before Black Friday, I decided to look for value. I was able to pick up this one for under $300. WOW I can buy 4 new computers for the price of my now dinosaur. With an 8GB memory stack this HP will surpass the features of my previous expensive laptop. Even if it lacks the higher speeds of more expensive alternatives, you will love the display, and did I mention the movie experience? Another WOW! I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

3.0 out of 5 stars You Get What You Pay For..., January 19, 2013
This review is from: HP 2000-2b09WM 15.6-Inch Laptop PC (Winter Blue) Windows 8 - 320 GB Hard Drive - 2GB DDR3 RAM - SuperMulti DVD Burner - Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wireless - HD Webcam - Card Reader - Power Efficient AMD E-300 Dual Core Processor, up to 6hr 45 min battery life (Personal Computers)
I had previously had an HP Laptop I spent $1200.00 & It recently stopped working. I plan on returning to College soon & Enjoy using Skype to talk to my Sister in the Military. Due to my lack of Funds my Mother surprised me with this Laptop (Which shes still eating PB&J today to make up for the Costs) Its Cheap but its still $300.00 out of pocket my Mother paid.

LIKES: When it comes to using the Web Cam to talk to my Sister.. ITS AMAZING!!! This is BIG for me. Even in the dim light it you can see everything perfectly. Beyond my expectations.
The Detail & Coloring on the Screen look very good as well as the Exterior. When I opened it, I wouldn't have guessed it was only $300.00. What a Gorgeous Laptop!!

DISLIKES: The amount of time it freezes up is ridiculous... After a while it gets very irritating.
I type fast & When writing my sister or anyone on Facebook, I cant see what im writing until I send it.
Also.. The Skype App was already downloaded to... Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Too much of the wrong things going on at once, December 18, 2012
This review is from: HP 2000-2b09WM 15.6-Inch Laptop PC (Winter Blue) Windows 8 - 320 GB Hard Drive - 2GB DDR3 RAM - SuperMulti DVD Burner - Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wireless - HD Webcam - Card Reader - Power Efficient AMD E-300 Dual Core Processor, up to 6hr 45 min battery life (Personal Computers)
The computer looks nice but has its share of issues. First of all Windows 8 is horrible, horrible, horrible. Forget your current copy machine, fax machine, or printer. This system rejects ANY software not designed for windows 8, not to mention Word or Excel software that you might have. They want you to spend more money on the same stuff you already have.

Almost every email disappears because the system is too sensitive to the heat from your fingers and wipes it right out of there. How many emails I have spent lots of time writing only to have it disappear on me the moment my thumb glides past the mouse area. This has happened numerous times and is part of why I am so compelled to write a review to begin with.

Next, because the mouse area is soooooo touchy, I'm constantly trying to find my way back to internet or other screens because different apps keep resurrecting from somewhere and taking over my screen. Where is the "X" to get rid of it? Nowhere... Read more
